Fragrance Story

Azalai captures the warmth and richness of gold against the starkness of the desert. Radiant saffron and blood orange meet smooth Velvione musk, while sweet gum acacia is balanced by salty amber and smoky incense. Subtle impressions of mint tea and dried fruit pay tribute to the Tuareg caravan riders, creating a warm, mineral and quietly luxurious portrait of life enduring against an endless sea of sand.

Inspiration

Across the vast Ténéré region of the Sahara, ancient Azalai caravans have carried salt and gold for centuries. Along this unforgiving route once stood the legendary Tree of Ténéré—a solitary acacia surviving nearly 150 kilometers from the nearest tree, sustained by roots reaching deep beneath the desert sands. Revered by Tuareg travelers as a symbol of endurance and an essential landmark, it guided caravans for generations until it was tragically destroyed in 1973.
