Fragrance Story

Antinoüs begins in a landscape of herbs and sun-warmed air. Clary sage and officinalis sage provide an aromatic opening before white pepper and cumin introduce heat, spice and a distinctly human sensuality.

A salty-skin accord brings the fragrance even closer to the body, while wheat absolute, vetiver and sandalwood create a warm, textured foundation. Herbal, woody and subtly animalic, Antinoüs feels both classical and deeply intimate.

Inspiration

Date: 129 AC

Inspired by Antinoüs and his relationship with Roman Emperor Hadrian, the fragrance references the story of the young man who died in the Nile. Perfumer Marc-Antoine Corticchiato builds the composition around multiple sage extracts and skin-evoking spices, eventually grounding them in vetiver, sandalwood and warm musks to emphasize sage's sensual, animalic facets.
