Fragrance Story

The best agarwood (oud) resin is obtained from the aquilaria tree - as noted in wisdom passed down from ancient texts and scripture. The rich, cognac notes of aquilaria oud form the base of this exquisite fragrance which is full of warmth and opulence. 

Amber Aquilaria opens with a bright, sparkling bergamot which melts into a heart rich with floral elements: rose, jasmine, and geranium. Velvety petals support the composition as the gentle, rounded warmth of cognac starts to emerge, leading through to a warm woody base sweetened with sandalwood and vanilla. The aquilaria oud as the final point in the composition is warm, rich, a touch spicy, and very refined.

Inspiration

A desire to work with the finest oud was the starting point for Julien Rasquinet’s composition. The Romans desired the finest things in life, the finest woods, silks, spices, and scented oils. Amber Aquilaria is an expression of that discernment and taste. In this composition we find a plethora of incredible quality ingredients, paying homage to the Roman traditions of perfumery, and their desire to scent their lives fully.
