Fragrance Story

Puritas opens with a sharp, almost medicinal top. Elemi, pink pepper, and saffron are joined with the bitterness of absinthe to create a fusion of elements reminiscent of an apothecary’s shop full of drying herbs. 

As the fragrance opens, the bright sharpness is continued with geranium, leading eventually to a heart which is fleshed out with frankincense and rose. Here we find a moment of tenderness in the fragrance as the fleshy rose yields its delights to the spicier, almost metallic elements. Tuberose absolute adds the barest hints of white petals to round the composition out whilst ylang ylang and jasmine add touches of exotic opulence. An addictive combination of patchouli, guaiac wood, tonka and labdanum lead the charge in the base of the fragrance, whilst vetiver and amber add exciting seams of brightness.

Puritas is a great fragrance for those looking for a signature scent which is outside the ordinary, but retains a classical heart and sense of sophistication.

Inspiration

Puritas, meaning “purity”, is inspired by Vesta, the Roman goddess of purity, home and hearth. Vesta's power and enduring nature were symbolized in the eternal flames burning in her temples and which are echoed in elements of this composition. Like its inspiration, this fragrance has an eternal elegance, appeal and a purity of focus.
